How Large Can I Make My Slot Workshop Slot Car Track?
Thanks to the modular design and easy wireless connections between each track section, you can build your track as large as you want. Slot Workshop will automatically recommend using additional V-Power Legs and larger power supplies to make sure your track is powered correctly.
How is Power Delivered to Slot Workshop’s “Wireless” Track Sections?
Though the track sections connect to each other without the use of wires, a “wired” connection is still required for connecting power to the track. But, it’s very simple, and requires only 8 wires. Here’s how:
As mentioned in the article about Slot Workshop track sections connecting without using wires, each V-Leg uses a compression clip to make the connection between each track section. Depending on the size of track your purchase, you will have one or more “V-Power Legs”.

Much of the delay in launching Slot Workshop’s 4 lane modular tracks was due to the time needed to design the “wireless” track connection system. Here’s how it works:
Build and Order Your Custom Slot Car Track
Using Slot Workshop’s TrackBuilder software, you can easily build the 4 lane slot car track layout of your dreams, and then order it!
TrackBuilder allows you to customize your slot car track layout using Slot Workshop’s 4 lane modular slot car track sections. You can then order custom-printed side rails, power supplies, controllers, driver stands, etc…

Slot Workshop’s TrackBuilder software is up, and we’ve completed the first phase of changes.
Phase two will begin shortly. In the mean time TrackBuilder is very functional.
Currently, you can use TrackBuilder to design your track, create different layouts by “dragging and dropping” the 4 lane modular slot car track sections onto the grid in any way you like. Parts can be rotated, allowing you to create lots of cool and unique track designs.
When finished creating your dream 4 lane slot car track (for 1/24 and 1/32 scale slot cars), you can “PRINT”, which saves the track as a down-loadable PDF, and you can also click “Get Quote”, which sends your track to Slot Workshop for a price quote. Price quotes are processed in the order they are received, and typically gte a response in less than 24 hours. Keep in mind, we process these manually, one at a time. Making sure to accommodate for correct power supply and power distribution scenarios.
If “Custom Side Rails” are selected, these will be designed by Slot Workshop’s graphic design team. This team of two has done graphics and animation work for the NFL, Office Depot, and many other Fortune 500 companies. How it Works
When you buy a track, simply order the Custom-Printed Side Rails along with it. Typically, one of our specialists will call you to confirm your order, and you can discuss your custom printed side rails at that time. All we need from you are colors, ideas, logos, names, etc… Our graphics design team will take it from there.
Who Designs My Custom Side Rails?
Your custom side rails will be designed by Slot Workshop’s graphic design team. This team of two has done graphics and animation work for the NFL, Office Depot, and many other Fortune 500 companies. In other words, your side rails will be a work of art, just like your Slot Workshop track. There are literally NO LIMITS to what can be printed on your Slot Workshop slot car track side rails, so think COLOR and think BIG!
Approve Before We Print
Our graphics design team will create a rendition using all of your colors, logos, selections and submissions. A proof will be created, allowing you to see a rendition of your side rails before they are printed. Often, a few tweaks are made, and then a final proof is sent to you for approval. Once you sign off on the proof, your side rails are sent to our printer. Side rails are typically shipped to you 4-5 days prior to your track arriving. (Talk about building anticipation!)
